The ABCs of Outdoor Activities – P

– What do Burdocks, Cattails, Dandelions, Ferns, Milkweeds, Moss, Nettles, Poison Ivy, Jewelweeds, and Tumbleweeds all have in common? They’re ALL plants!

Oh, not to mention, they’re all poisonous and you should avoid them. If you didn’t already know that, perhaps it’s time you Discover Plants.

 

Plants come in many different shapes size and colors. Some provide shade and shelter for people and animals, others are a source of food or medicine and some are even used to make clothing, dyes and all sorts of things. Others are poisonous and can make us sick if we’re not careful. There is so much to explore about plants, that you should get outside and start taking a closer look at the millions of different plants you have in your neighbourhood.
