5 Facts About the Planet Mercury

 

 

In honour of this week’s exciting cosmic event, we’re devoting every day to one of the four planets that we’ll be able to see in the night sky! Let’s explore the planet Mercury! You’ll be able to get a sense of the planet by watching this short video:

 

 

Here are some of the facts about the planet Mercury:

1) The Planet Mercury is the closest planet to our sun and is the smallest planet in the solar system.
2) It is named after a roman god.
3) Mercury has no moons.
4) Mercury is the fastest moving planet in our Solar System.
5) The plant and animal life of the Earth could not live on Mercury because of the lack of oxygen and the intense heat.
