5 Facts About the Planet Mars

 

 

In honour of this week’s exciting cosmic event, we’re devoting every day to one of the four planets that we’ll be able to see in the night sky! Let’s explore the planet Mars! Perhaps this little video will explain a some more about the mysterious planet:

Here are some of the facts about the planet Mars:
1)  Mars is reddish in colour and was named after the god of war of the ancient Romans.
2) Mars is the fourth closest planet to the Sun and the next planet beyond the Earth.
3) Mars is a terrestrial planet and has a hard rocky surface that you could walk on.
4) Mars has two moons and their names are Deimos and Phobos.
5) The average distance from Mars to the Sun is 228 million km!
