12 Days of Christmas – Activity 1: How to Make Frozen Bubbles

This is an activity for a day when there is little to no wind and it is very, very cold. Below freezing to be exact. You will need the following things:

1 Measuring Cup
Soap Powder
Sugar
Hot Water
Bowl
Spoon or whisk
Bubble wand

Start by making the bubble solution. Mix 1/2 a cup of soap powder, 1/2 cup of sugar and 3 cups of hot water.

Take this mix outside with the bubble wand. Blow the biggest bubble you can and catch it on the wand.

Let the bubble sit resting on the wand in the cold air. Voila! You will have a beautiful frozen crystal ball! Now hurry inside and warm up over a hot cup of Christmas cocoa!
